PHP (Protein HydroPhobicity) Plot is a tool that predicts hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions in proteins. Proteins fold and unfold depending on the polarity of the solvent medium and their side chains. Hydrophobic interactions between amino acids occur during this process. Thus, predicting hydrophobic regions in proteins can help in understanding protein foldability and hence solving protein structures.
