美國St. Mary’s University Prasad教授于6月25日在主樓418作了題為“Do Firms Who Give Globally Secure Future Financial Performance? An Investigation of US Service Firms”的學(xué)術(shù)報告，會計系部分教師、博士生與碩士生近20多人參加了報告會。
Prasad教授用詳實的數(shù)據(jù)分析了是否美國服務(wù)行業(yè)上市公司在在國外捐贈方面對未來的公司績效。利用2004年到2014年數(shù) 據(jù)驗證發(fā)現(xiàn)，這二者之間呈現(xiàn)正相關(guān)關(guān)系。當(dāng)然，在控制了其他因素以后，其國內(nèi)捐贈的效果更加明顯。演講結(jié)束后， Prasad教授熱情回答了老師和同學(xué)們有關(guān)如何做一篇好的研究，如何尋找有趣話題，如何在美國期刊發(fā)表高水平論文進(jìn)行了廣泛的交流。報告會取得預(yù)期效果。
主講人簡介：
Prasad Padmanabhan, Ph.D., joined St. Mary's Bill Greehey School of Business in 2002. His interesting research topics include international finance, investments, corporate finance, financial management and international business. He graduated from McGill University. He has published many papers on different journals.
