2012年10月23日，波特蘭大學工程與技術管理國際會議（Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology，PICMET）執(zhí)行主席、美國波特蘭州立大學工程與技術管理系主席Dundar F. Kocaoglu 教授應邀來我校管理與經濟學院做了題為“Technology and Innovation Management in the Technology Era”的學術報告。這是Kocaoglu 教授首次訪問北理工。管理與經濟學院劉云教授主持了學術報告會。管理與經濟學院副院長朱東華教授、院長助理顏志軍教授、趙燕平教授、易瑾超副教授、黃璐博士以及部分研究生參加了報告會。
Kocaoglu教授首先分析了農業(yè)時代、工業(yè)時代和技術時代的創(chuàng)新動力，認為技術時代的特點是由模仿走向創(chuàng)新的過程，也是由漸進式創(chuàng)新走向顛覆式創(chuàng)新的過程，以及由產品創(chuàng)新、工藝創(chuàng)新走向商業(yè)模式創(chuàng)新的過程。其次，Kocaoglu教授向大家講解了21世紀技術創(chuàng)新管理面臨的挑戰(zhàn)，強調培養(yǎng)技術管理人才的重要性，尤其是創(chuàng)造力培養(yǎng)的重要性。最后，Kocaoglu教授闡述了領導力在技術創(chuàng)新管理中的作用和地位，及其日益凸顯的研究與應用價值等，并指出，在21世紀，只有有效掌握技術管理真諦的企業(yè)才能成為領先者，并保持長期的競爭優(yōu)勢。
報告結束，Kocaoglu教授和與會的教師、同學們進行了互動討論，并回答了師生們所提出的問題。
會后，Kocaoglu教授參觀了管理與經濟學院實驗室，與劉云教授等就2016年在北京舉行PICMET年會以及推動北理工與美國特蘭州立大學工程與技術管理系之間的合作等議題進行了深入的交流。
報告人簡介：
Dundar Kocaoglu is Professor and Chairman of the Engineering and Technology Management Department at Portland State University, Director of RISE (Research Institute for Sustainable Energy), and President and CEO of PICMET (Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology). His research areas include technology management, project management, innovation management, technology evaluation, R&D management, decision theory, conflict resolution, and resource optimization.
Dr. Kocaoglu has worked in industry as an engineer and project manager from 1962 to 1971. He has been a consultant on engineering and technology management since 1973. His clients include Westinghouse, Brown Boveri, IBM, Intel Corporation, Tektronix, II-Morrow, Cascade Microtech, several other small-to-medium sized technology-based companies, more than 10 universities, R&D Centers and the United Nations. He has served in National Research Council committees for the evaluation of the NIST (National Institute of Science and Technology) manufacturing centers, and for the improvement of U.S. Department of Energy decision making processes for nuclear waste disposal and decommissioning. He has also been an NSF (National Science Foundation) reviewer for research proposals, and served on NSF panels for the evaluation of research centers.
