2012年6月29日，聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織（UNESCO）北京辦公室自然科學(xué)主管賈古瑪博士應(yīng)邀來(lái)偉德國(guó)際官網(wǎng)做主題為“聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織（UNESCO）在應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化領(lǐng)域的計(jì)劃及進(jìn)展”學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告，UNESCO北京辦公室王冰女士、管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院有關(guān)老師以及科技評(píng)價(jià)與創(chuàng)新管理研究中心的博士后和研究生們參加了報(bào)告會(huì)。
賈古瑪博士首先介紹了聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織（UNESCO）近年來(lái)在氣候變化領(lǐng)域組織的各項(xiàng)計(jì)劃、關(guān)注的重點(diǎn)領(lǐng)域以及開(kāi)展的工作和實(shí)施情況，分析了氣候變化的原因、表現(xiàn)以及帶來(lái)的嚴(yán)重影響，提出國(guó)際科技合作應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化的重要性以及目前存在的障礙和發(fā)展策略等。
賈古瑪博士報(bào)告完畢后，與現(xiàn)場(chǎng)師生進(jìn)行了積極互動(dòng)，與會(huì)師生就感興趣的問(wèn)題向賈古瑪博士提問(wèn)咨詢(xún)，賈古瑪博士一一予以耐心解答。
隨后，聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織（UNESCO）教席主持人、管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院劉云教授就目前“應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化南南科技合作教席”的工作計(jì)劃及已開(kāi)展的相關(guān)研究工作向賈古瑪博士做了介紹，并就今后雙方開(kāi)展的合作事項(xiàng)進(jìn)行了深入討論和落實(shí)。賈古瑪博士表示UNESCO北京辦公室將一如既往地全力支持教席工作，希望該教席有效發(fā)揮政策研究、戰(zhàn)略咨詢(xún)、信息平臺(tái)和技術(shù)培訓(xùn)的四大功能與作用，為促進(jìn)應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化領(lǐng)域的南南科技合作與技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)移做出貢獻(xiàn)。

報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介：
Mr. Jayakumar joined UNESCO in July 1997 at its New Delhi Office, and tasked to carryout International Hydrological Program, Geology and Coastal and Small Island program and officiating as Regional Hydrologist. During August 2004 he was transferred to the UNESCO Office Beijing, where he has been tasked to act as the Program Specialist for Natural Sciences for East Asian cluster. In this capacity, he is responsible for the implementation of the intergovernmental program such as IHP, MAB, IGCP and Basic and Engineering Sciences, Science Policy and Sustainable Development, as well as the preparation and design of regional projects and activities in the area of Natural Sciences. Before UNESCO he was working as consultant on various projects for European Commission. He has academic background on hydrogeology and environmental management and varied experience water resources management projects in developing countries in Asia especially in India and China. Presently he is also coordinating Asian regional projects related to groundwater mapping and identification transboundary aquifers, sediment and erosion and water management in arid and semi-arid regions.
