2017年6月15日上午9點30分，偉德國際1946bv官網管理與經濟學院胡瑞法教授邀請了威斯康辛大學麥迪遜分校的Guanming Shi副教授，在主樓418舉辦了題為“經濟學研究方法課程培訓”（“Training Course in Research Methods of Economics”）的專題培訓講座，本次報告由應用經濟系胡瑞法教授主持，共有20余名師生參加。
報告內容主要從“決策行為分析：農民在美國采用單一和特征轉基因玉米種子”這個案例展開，具體講述了經濟學研究的方法，包括動機、通過本次研究想要實現(xiàn)的目標、建立模型、建立函數(shù)關系以及可能實現(xiàn)的功能、評估性分析、數(shù)據(jù)的整理分析、結果匯總統(tǒng)計、最終得出結論。通過對這個案例的分析，施教授向學生完整的展示了一個經濟學案例的研究方法，學生們受益良多。
施教授的報告引起在場師生的熱烈討論，同時大家就各自關心的問題以及如何開展學術研究進行了交流和溝通，講座在熱烈的掌聲中圓滿結束，同學們紛紛表示從中受益匪淺，對自己今后的學術研究很有幫助。
主講人簡介： Professor Guanming Shi obtained her PhD degree in agricultural and resource economics from University of California, Berkeley in 2005. She has become an associated professor in agricultural and applied economics in University of Wisconsin-Madison since 2012. Her research focuses on firm’s strategic behavior including pricing and bundling in the biotech sees market; technology, innovation and intellectual property rights; and productivity, profitability and adoption of agricultural biotechnology. Professor Shi has published her research papers on the renowned international academic journals, including Nature Biotechnology, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
