In the evening of September 25, SME hosted its 30th Anniversary Appreciation Dinner at Century Huatian Hotel. More than 300 people attended the appreciation dinner including Dean Wei Yi-Ming, Secretary Li Jin-Lin, deans from brother universities, retired staff, alumni and current students.
The dinner started with exciting martial arts show by SME students. Their superb martial arts and wonderful performance so startled the audience that the audience applauded again and again.
Dean Wei Yi-Ming made welcome remarks. Four 07 students from the Electrical College performed an original poem recital "Red 70 Years." The poem presented BIT’s seventy years’ history and heritage. The flute solo "Butterfly Lovers" and the Tibetan solo dance "Attachment" are also highlights of the dinner. Fei Fei, alumni of class 1991, who won the 2010 National Bodybuilding Championship, gave an improvised performance and pushed the dinner atmosphere to a climax. Also the band “No Smoking” from class 2009 left audience a deep impression.
The dinner carried on with good wishes from deans, retired staff and alumni. We believe SME will take the 30th anniversary as an opportunity to create a more brilliant 30 years.
