All SME staff members came to Graduate BLDG. March 16 PM to attend a general meeting for the new semester.
An important announcement was publicized at the meeting concerning the appointment of Mr Dong Peiwu to the chair of deputy rector of SME as the result of management selection through posting, bidding and competition.
There are another two new nominations, Mr Wang Zhaohua and Mr Liu Pingqing, all receiving probational posts as assistants to School Rectorship.
Also, a few reports concerning issues of graduate student management, new grads enrolment, rearrangement plan of the new Main Edifice, to name just a few, were delivered at the meeting, in addition to the launch of a new SME initiative to encourage teachers to compose and publish more research papers.
