May 17, in the afternoon, the SME 7th CPC Congress was held at meeting room 241. A total of 122 democratically elected party member representatives attended the meeting, while the General Assembly also invited faculty and staff representatives, non-Party personages, and retired party branch secretaries. Li Jinlin, Xia EnJun, Qiu Fang and Dean Wei Yiming seated on the rostrum. Zhang Ji, director of BIT Party Committee Organization Department attended the meeting. The congress was chaired by deputy party secretary and associate dean Qiu Fang.
