February 27, invited by Dean Professor Yi-Ming Wei, YongGen Yuan, Distinguished Research Fellow of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Public Health visited the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research and gave an academic report entitled "Systems Thinking and System Dynamics in Macroeconomic Research". The lecture was hosted by Zhaohua Wang, deputy director of the Center.
Yuan elaborated in detail system concept, system feedback and delay effects. Taking examples of population systems, oil and gas production and consumption systems, he showed the application of system dynamics in the Macroeconomic research. At the end of the report, Yuan had interactive discussions with participating teachers and students, and answered questions raised by the audience.
